What's Going On? A Peek Inside the Medical PED Business

Standard disclaimer-I'm just speaking as an observer...

I think what I learned, besides where to find real answers, is that sports medicine you read about is just as useful for a lot of chronic problems that people are getting the runaround on, not just weird cases like my own.

The dr I see specializes in "basketcases" of many types that respond well to hormones that are not that hard to manage if done correctly. There are a lot of bullshitters out there too. My own dr's office makes a lot of the stuff in their own lab, because you can control the quality, and it's cheap to make.

They Come in Groups

A few people have already been to my same dr since I started writing about it, and my own visit was a referral off Mototalk. My dr said he does get clients in groups, like one large rapper he helped, and before you know it, his office is full of that guys friends.

Sports Talk

Since PEDs are in the news in SXMX, of course I ask. My dr deals in HGH and testosterone and Cortisol with just about everyone. It is safe? What's going on?

I should add my dr was a runner and he used the stuff, so he has first hand experience. He said not only is this stuff safe, but it is essential for good health, performance, muscle tone, and recovery. You would be nuts to not restore any levels that are found to be low.

Who should use it? He said he doubts the youngest guys really need it. Assuming nothing went wrong, they are pumping out enough already. Nothing wrong with checking and maintaining levels though, a long, stressful schedule leads to fatigue syndromes, and that changes you too. That goes for non riders as well.

Should I Hit It Too?

If you read this far, you are asking that question already.

I think PEDs are an emerging science that is increasingly available to everyone, and they can fix a lot of chronic problems that people are getting the run-around over. Only you know your own situation, and the internet is full of info.

Caution

Stick with sound medical science. Don't believe health-food store claims and bullshitters, and there are a lot out there. See a good dr.

June 2008 - Still pushing to stay below 190, but feeling great.
